Catch Up on HIMSS24: Watch Gravitate Health's Interoperability Showcase

Gravitate Health Interoperability Showcase, held during the HIMSS24 conference in Rome, was a landmark event highlighting cutting-edge technologies aimed at enhancing patient care and healthcare system efficiency through the use of health data. The showcase emphasized the importance of standards-based, interoperable health information technology systems, platforms, and frameworks, focusing on services and activities that improve health outcomes. We are excited to share a video of the showcase prefaced by Gravitate Health's project lead Giovanna Ferrari and project coordinator Anne Moen!

Attendees at the HIMSS24 conference experienced the transformative impact of the G-lens® on the patient journey through interactive demonstrations set in real-world clinical scenarios. These demonstrations allowed participants to immerse themselves in personal stories, offering unique insights into the patient experience.

Gravitate Health representatives shared their expertise, shedding light on new possibilities in digital health and underscoring the project’s commitment to improving healthcare through innovation and collaboration.

Presenting the Gravitate Health Interoperability Showcase Video

In a special video presentation from HIMSS24, Gravitate Health demonstrated the impactful power of interoperability in digital health solutions, focusing on personalized patient care through innovative tools like the G-lens®.

The demonstration follows Alicia, a 26-year-old pregnant Italian woman traveling to Greece and Turkey, showing how the G-lens® supports her healthcare needs despite gestational diabetes and allergies.

A few important concepts were demonstrated live during the Gravitate Health Interoperability Showcase:

  • The G-Lens® Concept: Gravitate Health’s G-lens® allows for the personalization of medicinal product information, tailored to individual patient needs. The video showcases two key lenses: the Pregnancy G-lens® and the Summary G-lens®.
  • Interoperability in Action: The importance of interoperability is highlighted through collaboration with four companies: Dedalus, Gnomon Informatics, Tiga Healthcare Technologies, and Zebra, to ensure seamless care across borders.
  • Real-World Application: Alicia’s experience in a pharmacy shows how the Gravitate Health application provides all necessary medication information via the International Patient Summary (IPS). The Pregnancy G-lens® focuses on relevant information, while the Summary G-lens® condenses it into easily understandable paragraphs.
  • Enhanced Patient Engagement: Gravitate Health increases patient engagement and ensures continuity of care by providing accessible information in the patient’s preferred language. This is particularly illustrated with Alicia’s need for hospital care in Turkey, supported by the IPS feature.

The HIMSS24 European Interoperability Showcase successfully demonstrated the power of innovative, interoperable health IT solutions, reinforcing the critical role of technology in advancing healthcare outcomes and efficiency. Gravitate Health’s participation underscored the project’s commitment to improving healthcare through innovation and collaboration, setting the stage for future advancements in digital health.
