My name is Marta Morató and I am from Barcelona. I am a pharmacist, bachelor’s degree from Universitat de Barcelona, with over 22 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry. I worked in different roles in Quality Assurance/Quality Systems, and as Qualified Person for commercial medication and Investigational Medicinal Products for 13 years (including 8 years as Qualified Person at Novartis Farmacéutica, Spain).

I am a member of a Patient Association, and I am collaborating as a volunteer with them, at Local and National level, as a consultant advisor to assess Training Roadmap and Training Activities for the patients, Initial Assessment of potential projects, Clinical Trials’ assessment, etc.

Patients are the most important objective. All patients need to have all the needed/updated/contrasted information available to control the illness day-to-day and to have the best quality of life (empowerment). It is critical to work as a team with all the involved stakeholders, to define and to create proper tools with the information for the patients. According to my personal values, I would like to share my experience and knowledge with the group, to collaborate, to work as a team, to maximise the benefit for the patient.

It is important to include patients’ voice as a member of stakeholder group to maximise the benefit for the Healthcare system focused on patients.
