Partner Spotlight: Meet Gravitate Health's Newest Innovators

We are delighted to announce that the 4 Nordic Medicinal Product Information Compendia, Felleskatalogen AS (FK), Dansk Laegemiddel Information A/S (DLI), Lägemedelindustriföreningens Service AB (FASS) and Pharmaca Health Intelligence Oy (Pharmaca), are joining Gravitate Health as full partners.

A key focus within Gravitate Health has been to build up a critical mass of electronic product information (ePI) , and we have set ourselves a challenging goal: to reach this critical mass, by the end of the project, namely, 80% of ePIs for essential medicines (on the WHO list) to be made available in FHIR format, using the approved FHIR ePI Implementation Guide (IG).

We have had a close working relationship with the Medicinal Product Information Compendia for some time, evolving from engaging over questions about medicinal product information, ePI for experimentations in our development and assessment activities, into a discussion about accession of some of the Compendia to the action.

Accordingly, we have involved in this process the 4 Nordic Medicinal Product Information Compendia:

as well as our partner #40 Datapharm, (based in UK).

The scope of work includes establishing a methodology for semi-automatic conversion of medicinal product information, i.e. the ePI, into the FHIR ePI IG and adding to the repository of ePIs in FHIR format; supplying examples of additional Risk Minimization Measures (aRMM) when required by regulators and discussing active use of ISO-IDMP identifiers. The Compendia have already started creating a subset of ePI for medications used with Diabetes, IBD and COPD to support our development and validation activities.

The methodology and ePI repository will be instrumental in the progress towards the goal “80% of ePIs for essential medicine should be available in FHIR format.”

We are delighted that the Nordic Compendia will be joining Gravitate Health consortium as partners.
