The Melbourne Digital Health Ecosystem is hosted by the Royal Melbourne Institute of
Technology (RMIT), which is ranked third worldwide for environmental, social and economic
impact, according to the 2021 Times Higher Education Ranking. RMIT Digital Health Hub, an
innovation pipeline with industry partners, provides additional support to this ecosystem.
Melbourne Digital Health Ecosystem currently focuses on three priority areas: i) Virtual Care, ii) Mental Health, iii) Healthy Ageing.
As demonstrated by its award for contributions made to SDG 17, the ecosystem strengthens partnerships and serves as a gateway to international networks. In this context, these are the main domains where the ecosystem is active worldwide: best practices in health policy; health models; health innovations, and health trends.
