Fass provides the public, healthcare professionals, pharmacies, pet owners, and animal care professionals quality-assured medicine information. Fass offers information about packaging and price, information on medicine management as well as environmental information. One of the most used services is stock inventory status, which shows which pharmacy an item is available at. Fass provides important information when a medicine is temporarily out of stock and unavailable from the manufacturer. Fass also displays information about ongoing shortages reported to the Swedish Medical Products Agency.

Fass can be viewed on computers, tablets and smartphones. The apps: Fass Vård for healthcare professionals and pharmacists, Fass Allmänhet for the general public, and Fass Djur for animal care professionals and pet owners are available for both iPhone and Android.
